Sim News
USS
Aldrin (Reported by Captain
Mardel Shayron): On the Aldrin, we responded to a distress call from
the Science vessel USS Mariposa. The Mariposa was doing an in
depth study of nebula and were inside one when they encountered a
strange phenomenon. They started to have "Ghosts" on
their ship. So we went in to help out.
We
got there too late and the Mariposa had imploded and all hands were
lost. However we were now stuck in the nebula and the "ghosts"
started to appear on our ship.
Going
against logic, we turned off all sensors and we came to a halt when
the engines stopped leaving us with only thrusters. The
"ghosts" started to speak with those who had no telepathy
or empathy. So we are trying to piece together what happened to
the Mariposa, who these "ghosts" are, and how to get out in
one piece from the various conversations going on with different crew
members.
USS
Darmok (Reported by Captain
Zachary Taylor): The Darmok is still deep in the Gamma Quadrant on
the far frontier of the Aslan Heirate investigating the Kyrathian
Swarm. We recently infiltrated a Kyrathian Station where they were
"building" (growing?) new ships for their fleet. It was a
very tense situation where the Kyrathians detected us shortly after
arrival and our team was trying to download data while fighting for
their lives.
The
Darmok lost a total of 6 crewmembers to the Kyrathians, two on the
station and four in an auxiliary craft in a space battle. Most of the
Away Team received injuries from shrapnel and rapid depressurization
of the airlock during their escape. Now we just need to figure out
what we got from our download, if anything! We may have only managed
to download part of their Replicator recipe book for all we know! Our
Marine Lt. Col. has decided that we have to go back since in our
hurried escape we left our dead and that is a major violation in the
Marine's book: "No man left behind!"
USS
Excelsior (Reported by
Commander Zarian Lobren): The XL is currently getting itself into
temporal trouble as it is helping a ship that has come from
twenty—five years in the future, and it is being hunted by an
equally future Mirror Universe ship. One of our officers, Lt
Gar is abducted and we had to go in and rescue her from the Mirror
Universe ship. The strangest part of all of this is the commanders of
both these future ships is none other than older version Gar. Yikes.
USS Independence (Reported by Lt. Cmdr Travis Cloud): Indy take a pounding from the mysterious Grand Syndicate ship that appeared once the Federation starship had arrived in the Delta Quadrant frontier zone.
USS Independence (Reported by Lt. Cmdr Travis Cloud): Indy take a pounding from the mysterious Grand Syndicate ship that appeared once the Federation starship had arrived in the Delta Quadrant frontier zone.
Fleet
Captain McMahon ordered return fire, even though the Syndicate ship’s
weapons were only doing minor damage to Indy’s shields. The
Syndicate ship launched fighters to help with the attack. Lt.
Commander Travis Cloud commanded a small squadron of Vega-class
fighter shuttles to combat the Syndicate fighters.
The
Syndicate fighters were fierce, but eventually the Federation side
managed to get an upper hand and the Syndicate ship retreated back
through its singularity. The captain ordered the escape aperture to
be held open to possibly allow us a way to find they Syndicate to put
a stop to its raids.
Outpost
Phoenix (Reported by Commodore Kaveh Arzie): The crew aboard the
Lexington has successfully tractored the original
USS Lothlorien back to the
Einstein-Rosen Device where crews from OPX will begin to repair her
for transit back to Tahnna’Wahnna IV. In the meantime, she will be
used as a Forward Operating Base for exploring the Maskawk.
Meanwhile,
Lexington and Lothlorien were hailed by a ship. After some
difficulty, communication was established. The crew discovered that
the Maskawk is home to a number of races. Two representatives from
one of those races has boarded Lexington and is questioning the crew
about their presence in the region.
Starbase
Everest (Reported by
Commander Malachi Styles): Starbase Everest ended 2395 rescuing the
temporally-trapped crew of the U.S.S. Jackson, a ship that had
been M.I.A. for the past thrity two years. Thus far, in 2396, we are
trying to track down the real saboteur of the Jackson but
are being stumped by some super covert technology. The rumor
mill is even mentioning Section 31, but we both know that there is no
such section.
Starfleet
Academy (Reported by Captain
Rhea Jannsen): Starfleet Academy cadets are on the verge of embarking
on another special holo-sim, pitting them against the different
things they can encounter out “there.” It will be the chance to
see if they have learned anything in there time here.
