Captain Taylor of the USS Darmok asks: ‘Here's one: what the heck are you guys doing?’

Admiral Thelev sh’Ren:

Thank you for you question.

We are meeting, as each of our schedules allow, and discussing issues brought before us. We have just reformed the Sim Guide Revision Committee and we are waiting for real life to allow us to meet with Vice Admiral Anders and finalize the Change of Command. We are looking to the future of the USF by promoting Major Patterson to Lieutenant Colonel and Executive Officer of the Darmok and by looking into the fleet's ranks to find officers ready to fill one of the numerous open Executive Officer positions.

There are, of course, the day to day operational issues that crop up such as the much lamented and documented "Gremlins" in the website that we are seeking to resolve.

In conclusion, we are working with all of you to make the USF the absolute best Star Trek simming experience. We value your opinions and input; please continue to use this outlet, as well as email, Twitter, Facebook and Discord to bring matters to our attention.

Vice Admiral Sulyk:

I agree with Admiral sh'Ren. Thank you for your question, Captain. As sh'Ren stated, we meet in a special Discord room as our schedules allow and discuss a variety of topics. The Sim Guide Revision Committee has just reformed, and we are gathering the previous work done in order to review and redirect our efforts. The "official" Change of Command Admiral sh'Ren mentioned with Admiral Anders is held up over Real Life issues that keep us separated. Also, as sh'Ren hinted, we are looking to the future in which Colonel Patterson is the vanguard: allowing Marines in command positions. We have reviewed a list of open XO posts and are starting the process to receive recommendations to fill those openings. Some of the "Gremlins" sh'Ren mentioned on the website have been addressed, though many updates remain to be accomplished. We are working "behind the scenes" to try to ensure the highest quality Star Trek Roleplaying experience we can imagine, but we will rely on YOU, the members of our Fleet, to keep us informed on what you think we need to address. Talk with your Host Team and have them bring any issues to the Active Host Assembly and to your Executive Board. And, if you see us online either on Discord or in our Webchat rooms, say "Hi", we enjoy interacting with you!
